The Ark, The bride and The Coffin

Jan 10th - 28th 2006 - The Old Red Lion

The Ark, The bride and The Coffin was a new play commissioned by fluff productions and written and directed by Andrew Neil. It was produced for their second run at the Old Red Lion and consolidated their reputation as a company to reckon with. The play has also been performed as a rehearsed reading at Calders Book Shop in March/April 2006 and at The Proud Galleries, Camden in March 2007.

Three discrete, inter-related plays in which six women examine the nature of belief, bad weather, and people who have balls.

Comic, disturbing, not for the sanctimonious.

"Driven by a quick, dark wit that allowed a room full of critics to roll around in unsuppressed mirth....funny, poignant....genius." The Stage

"an all-women company, already have a strong onstage rapport, which makes the drama all the more impressive." Islington Tribune

"The female experience laid out in pain and anger and many, many laughs....fine acting....richly comic." My London Your London

"A show of true comic brilliance." Ham & High

"There are some very fine actresses in this company, who form a cohesive team that handle the scripts well." Theatreworld Internet Magazine

"Powerful and bitter." John Calder
